Quarantine
The quarantine manager manages affected objects. AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic can move affected objects to the quarantine directory in a special format. It can then no longer be executed or opened.
Note
To move objects into the quarantine manager, select the relevant option for quarantine in the AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic configuration under Scanner - Scan :: Action for malware :: Handling when malware is detected if you are working in automatic mode. Alternatively, you can select the relevant option for quarantine in the interactive mode.Toolbar, shortcuts and context menu

Rescan object
A selected object is scanned again for viruses and unwanted programs. The settings of the on-demand scan are used for this.
Enter
Properties
Opens a dialog window with more information on the selected object.

Restore object
A selected object is restored. This object is then in its original location.
Warning
Enormous damage in the system due to viruses and unwanted programs!
If you restore files, ensure that only files are restored which were able to be cleaned by another scan.F6
Restore object to...
A selected object can be restored at a location selected by you. If you select this option, a "Save as" dialog opens in which you can select where to save the object.

Add file
If you regard an object as suspect, you can add it to the quarantine manager manually with this option and if required send it to the AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic virus lab for scanning with the option Send object.

Send object
The suspect object is sent to the AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic virus lab for scanning.
DEL
Delete object
A selected object is deleted from the quarantine manager. The object cannot be restored.

Status
An object placed in quarantine can have different statuses:
Icon
Description
No virus or unwanted program was found, the object is "clean".
A virus or unwanted program was found.
If the suspect file was added to the quarantine manager with the option Add file, it has this warning icon.

The object detected is a file.
Restored
See option Restore object.
Sent
See option Send object.
Detection
Shows the name of the virus or unwanted program detected.
Date/Time
Displays the date and time of the detection.
Engine
Shows the version number of the AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic search engine.
VDF
Shows the version number of the virus definition file.
Source
Shows the detection place of the virus or unwanted program.
